I Recently Started Using A Shower With A Gold Shower

I recently started using a shower with a gold shower head and gold faucet and handles. It seems whenever I take a shower my eyes sting before I even use soap and my throat burns in the back. I was wondering why this is happening. Am I just sick or is it something to do with the gold
