I Recently Went To The ER And Was Diagnosed With

I recently went to the ER and was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia. I also was tested for pregnancy before my head CT. No one ever told me if I tested positive or negative, however during the ct scan of my head they wrapped me twice around my back and abdomen with the protective shield... On my discharge papers it says under labs hcg/urine (if pregnancy is unknown) can the er only tell a patient if they test negative? What's this all mean?
