I Recently Woke Up With A Very Tender And Red

I recently woke up with a very tender and red ear. It's very dry and flaky? It stings. Just recently I started hearing a squeaking sound from that same ear. What does this mean? Do I have an ear infection? I also was running a fever of 101.1 this morning but it dropped. Should I see a doctor or is there something I can do at home for this? Thanks!
