I Saw A Doctor Yesterday Because Of A Sore Throat.

I saw a doctor yesterday because of a sore throat. Strep was ruled out. I have a headache, aches, pus on my tonsils. I took the afternoon off and slept. I've been drinking lots of fluids and gargling salt water, and my symptoms are definitely better. I've also noticed a funny smell for a few days. I wondered why other people in my office area didn't mention it. It smells like a chemical or paint, etc. Is that something I should be concerned about?
