I Saw My Eye Doctor Yesterday Because I Had Started

I saw my eye doctor yesterday because I had started seeing a bright spot with a bright line in the upper right eye. There was also some dark streaks in the upper right and some floaters. He said that the sack containing the fluid inside of the eye had pulled away from the retina. That there wasn't any damage to the retina but he wanted to see me again in 6 weeks. Is there anything that I should not be doing while this is healing?
