I See A Sleep Doctor For Chronic Insomnia And She

I see a sleep doctor for chronic insomnia and she has recently changed my medication from Trazadone to Restoril (30mg per night) It seems to keep me asleep, but does not make me sleepy at all (can take up to 2 hours or more). I have Ambien 10mg as well, but haven't taken them together. Is it safe to take them at the same time? One to get to sleep faster (usually around an hour with Ambien) and one to stay asleep? My next follow up isn't for a few months, so I was just curious what to do in the mean time. Thanks!
