I Sliced A Good Chunk Off My Finger On Wednesday

I sliced a good chunk off my finger on Wednesday evening with a mandolin slicer. I went to an urgent care because I couldn't get the bleeding to stop. They had to burn it. I have had tingling and shooting pain and throbbing since then. I know fingers have a lot of nerve endings in them. How long will this continue? Does this mean my finger is healing??
