I Sliced My Knuckle Open With A Knife. It Was

I sliced my knuckle open with a knife. It was a pretty bad cut, but has healed. The only problem is my knuckle is swollen and continues to grow slightly I tried to have it drained but nothing was there. What should it be and what should I do? I don't have an appointment with the hand doctor for another month.
