I slipped and fell in the shower and injured my left ankle the MRI stated:High-grade cartilage loss, marrow edema and cystic change along the proximal articular surface of the navicular bone. Dark signal on the T1-weighted sequences raising the possibility of underlying sclerosis. Similar findings are present on prior examination. No discrete fracture is identified. CT can assess for subtle chip fracture if clinically indicated. Os trigonum is seen with cystic change at the synchondrosis. Please correlate for symptomatology of os trigonum syndrome. Achilles and posterior tibial tendon tendinosis.
