I Smashed My Finger Tip 6 Days Ago. It Split

I smashed my finger tip 6 days ago. It split the skin at the very tip of the finger approximately 1/8". The issue is only from the nail up. The finger is better but the tip is numb and turning white(lack of pink color). Do I need to worry and seek medical treatment or is this the natural healing process?
