I Sometimes Have Random Pains. (Not Often Usually Very Few

I sometimes have random pains. (Not often usually very few in number within 2 months or so they happen) where my vein entering my skull at the very base of the skull (jugular) I feel a incredible throb and suddenly a pulse of pain. Like my blood is trying to force its way through. I have had this a lot before but I don't know exactly what it is.
