I Started Having Extreme Vertigo Accompanied By N/v Nearly One

I started having extreme vertigo accompanied by n/v nearly one moth ago. I have a hx of CVA. I went to the ED was tx with Xanax an Zofran. Had CT/CTA (NEG) Awaiting results of recent MRI. Although the vertigo is somewhat better, my hearing in Kent ear is still not as before and my gate is unsteady. My head fills like a balloon filled with water is in it. What would your dx be? I have never experienced these symptoms before and am quite concerned.
