I Started Taking Levothyroxine Four Months Ago, My Doctor Just

I started taking Levothyroxine four months ago, My doctor just did my blood work and upped it to 175MCG from 150 MCG. My question is that I have had spotting and cramping for almost all of the time I have been on this drug. Before I started taking it I had 0 periods because I am on Depo. I was told that by upping my dosage and getting my thyroid at the right level would stop the spotting and cramps, is that correct?
