I Started Taking Valsartan HCT 325/25mg About A Month Ago.

I started taking Valsartan HCT 325/25mg about a month ago. I filled the prescription at a local pharmacy and the pill is so large I have to cut it into 4 pieces to swallow it. I have to have my esophagus stretched from time to time, so I get choked very easy. I have developed pain above my right ear and it worsens when I move my head a certain way. Is it possible this is coming from this drug?
