I Started Taking The Birth Control Pill Sprintec 3 Days

I started taking the birth control pill sprintec 3 days ago, yesterday was my third pill and I feel like it got stuck in my throat last night so I ate a bunch of food and drinks and it feels like it's still there. was the pill this effective? because I had sexual intercourse yesterday without a condom. & is the pill still stuck in my throat? should I take 2 today?
