I Started The Deproprovera Shot At The Beginning Of December

I started the Deproprovera shot at the beginning of December of last year. I was spotting off and on about two weeks at a time once a month, but I found it tolerable.

For the last five 1/2 weeks I've been continuously spotting and yesterday I think I started a full blown period (cramps, mood swings, heavy flow, clots) which I haven't had since I started the shot.

So, now what? This IS supposed to stop at some point? Would there be a point of scheduling an appointment with my doctor since I'm just going to have to wait this out anyway? or is there something I can do.
