I Stubbed My Little Toe On October31. It Swelled Up

I stubbed my little toe on October31. It swelled up and looked crooked afterwards. I buddy tapped it because that's what the ER told me to do. Its still very sensitive and can't have pressure on it. Should I have it checked even though there's nothing they can do for it?
