I Stuck My Palm Near The Base Of My Fingers

I stuck my palm near the base of my fingers with a needle from a date palm tree on Friday 1/6/16. By Sunday I knew I had some type of infection. I started with 2 antibiotics that Sunday evening (doxycycline hyclate 100mg & levofloxacin 500mg) I had relief from pain by Monday and continue getting better through Thursday. Friday I started to notice the same pain a the start and continue to worsen by each evening through Sunday 1/15. I am still taking the antibiotics but concerned the pain and stiffness is returning. I have no redness at the puncture site but wonder if the needle could still be in there deep. Do I need to have it cut on to see if the needle is still there or give it some more time. Only 2 days of antibiotics left. Advice?
