I Suffer From Major Depressive Disorder And Have Been On

I suffer from major depressive disorder and have been on medication for about 20 years. It has taken care of my daily crying (Foy no apparent reason), however, it also dulled all of my emotions and over time, I have reached the point of an emotionless, almost agoraphobic lifestyle. I struggle to make it through each day and constantly feel guilty because I can't even show my husband the love I have for him (in the same ways as I always have) and spend the quality time with my husband that we have always enjoyed. I love him with all my heart and that love has never changed; just my ability to express it.

I was reading an article about the possible benefits of nutritional supplements used by the chemical receptors in the brain to enhance the mood. I don't know if they are supposed to react with serotonin. dopamine and the other mood enhancers. There was a new prescription recently released to provide these beneficial nutritional benefits but unfortunately, I failed to get the name. Is there a list of foods I can incorporate in my diet or is there a supplement that would cover these needs that I could safely purchase? BUT...is this hogwash and there is or is not a solution to my inability to function happily, especially when my life is going so well? As a matter of fact, when my depression flared up for the 2nd time, my life could not have been better. Had it happened 2 years earlier, it wouldn't have shocked me.
I am using this computer sight because I was just informed that my Physician is no longer practicing so I need to locate a new Physician. I was hoping to get some words of wisdom before I proceed with my search for a new Physician as well as updated knowledge on improving the pain of my Depression.
Thank you for your assistance. Cathy Baucom

Is this familiar to you? I have tried so many anti-depressants without complete success. I also suffer from chronic spinal and back pain as well as Epstein-Barr Virus (chronic fatigue syndrome) and diabetes.

Do I have a chance at finding the right combination to live my daily life with passion and at least an occasional honest smile on my face?
