I Suffer From Not Being Able To Understand Things Even

I suffer from not being able to understand things even when its explained to the fullest, i feel there is a blockage of some sort that keeps me from comprehending. The doctor want me to take lithobid, I'm not comfortable with it, i want to know how it works and if its good for someone like me.
