I Suffered 2nd Degree Burns 3 Days Ago Where The

I suffered 2nd degree burns 3 days ago where the blisters burst and have applied antibiotic ointment and clean bandages now since the accident. There is no evidence of any infection and there is good red color to the affected tissue. There is no scab. Two questions: 1) At what point do I stop applying the ointment and let the skin begin to dry out? 2) Also there is still some dead floppy skin, do I cut it off or will it eventually fall off?
