I suffered from mild palpitations due to anxiety. After being on an ssri for a year, Toprol xl, and cbt the palpitations are very few and far between. I am very obese and my dr. has prescribed me adipex to lose weight, but I'm afraid the palpitations will come back with a vengeance. He says everyone gets palpitations and it's nothing to worry about. I will note I am no longer taking the Celexa since I don't really suffer from anxiety anymore.
