I Swallowed The Tip Of A Ceramic Knife. Went To

I swallowed the tip of a ceramic knife. Went to emerg for xray, but nothing appeared (xray tech said ceramic probably won't show like metal would). Having sharp pain under right rib (towards the middle of my upper abdomen). This pain seems to penetrate through to my back. Any advice?! Dr in emerg said nothing more to do then wait and return if pain gets unbearable. It's sore!
