I take 1x daily 15mg dose of Cloraz Dipot for nerve problems. Have been taking since 2001. I understand that it is generic for Tranxene. Never had a problem getting it until now. It seems that restrictions have now been put into place for patients to get a scrip as usual and will most likely have to start getting labs done 1x monthly to make sure that you aren't abusing the drug. I have Fibromyalgia and a form of Lupus plus COPD, early emphysema, Arthritis, Gout under control, high blood pressure, Type II diabetes, IBS, allergies, etc. and I will be 65 in January. I tried about 3 yrs ago to not have to take the Cloraz and made it for two months and developed migraine that wouldn't quit to the point that I couldn't sleep as even a foam pillow felt like a rock under my neck and head. Ended up in the hospital for 4 days and was back on the Cloraz for those 4 days before there was any relief and I slept the night before being released. I don't take pain pills on a regular basis nor do I take all the other meds the doctors regularly try to put you on because you have auto-immune disorders. If I must have something for pain, the strongest I take is Naproxen 500mg once or twice a day and I use Sombra for a rub (rather like Icy Hot). I don't do well with most meds. If there was a naturopathic substitute that worked as well as the Cloraz for the nerve/tension problems I 'would' take that. By the way, I had a complete hysterectomy in 1985. From my Dr.'s office, the info came to me that they may not even be able to get my prescription filled on a timely basis anymore because of the idiots who use and abuse the medicine selling black market and/or use in making other illegal drugs. Believe me, I am not one of those. But what am I supposed to do if they are not allowed to treat their patients with something that works for them to function??????
