I Take Diazapam For Muscle Spasms, And I Know It

I take Diazapam for muscle spasms, and I know it also helps with anxiety, however recently my Dr also prescribed Busparine (sp?) . He said to take it right when I feel a panic attack coming on. I have read the side effects, and those alone make me panic. He has assured me that these meds do not have interactions.
I guess my question is, if I have already taken a valium, will a Busparin help me sleep during this mild panic attack I am having?
