I Take My Birth Control Straight Into The Month Without

I take my birth control straight into the month without placebos or skipping a week in order to prevent me from getting a period. It was recommended from my doctor. I've been doing this for about 5 years now. Lately I feel like my hormones are changing, I used to always be cold and now I'm constantly warm and overheating is keeping me up at night. Could it be the birth control?
