I Think I Have Ascites As My Abdomen Feels As

I think I have ascites as my abdomen feels as though it is a waterbed. I have two long incisions on the abdomen and the skin is stretched. I had an MRI of my lower back that showed my kidney and bladder but wasn't told if there was fluid in the abdomen. Could this MRI reveal fluid buildup?
