I Thought I Burned The Inside Of My Mouth With

I thought I burned the inside of my mouth with hot coffee or hot food but it has not healed up after about 6-7 days. My mouth is sore on the inside upper left roof & close to gum. I can feel more ridges in that side than the other side of upper roof. It is painful & hurts to eat or drink anything. I've gargled , used salt water & keep my teeth brush. Doesn't seem to be getting any better. Thank you, Janet
