I Twisted My Knee About Two Months Ago And It's

I twisted my knee about two months ago and it's beginning to really bother me, I now have pain in my knee when walking and I feel like a hot pain also. I had an xray taken and it did not show anything. I have to schedule and MRI now. Do my symptoms sound like I tore something?
