I Understand That Haldol Can Be Dangerous For Elderly Dementia

I understand that Haldol can be dangerous for elderly dementia patients. My 84 yo husband has been given several injections of Haldol to calm him down. I read the side-effects and several of them apply to him. I asked his nurse about it and she said it wasn't applied today. Are there any serious lingering side-effects that will affect him?
