I Underwent A Circumcision 11 Days Ago. The Swelling Has

I underwent a circumcision 11 days ago. The swelling has come down, and the wound seems to be healing fine. However, on wearing briefs with a paper napkin folded/cotton pad inside I notice a yellowish fluid discharged dried up, sometimes even slightly reddish in colour. This happens when I am not wearing briefs too. My surgeon told me that this discharge of fluid will slowly recede and finally go away. What could this be?
