I Used Baking Soda Solution Over My Face That Day

I used baking soda solution over my face that day to clear pimples. However, I think that some of the solution got into my eye. The doctor prescribed Naphcon-A. Please advice how long I should be using these eye drops and whether long-term application will cause any side effects. Thanks!
