I Want To Know If You Can Get Shingles Internally.

I want to know if you can get shingles internally. I have had pain around my waist for about a week. It does not show any redness or swelling just pain. If I take a pain pill it doesn't seem to help much. I have never had this before in my life. I am a 71 year old female.
