I Was Adopted At A Young Age, My Birth Mom

I was adopted at a young age, my birth mom gave me codiene for several months after birth, i had developed night terrors and had trouble waking up from them till around twelve years old, now I am 30 years old and have developed a panic disorder where i can only drive so far outside my city, I am currently on an antidepresant Brintellix, i have tried several tho with very little outcome. Do you think the codiene could have cause these issues? and what direction should i take for this? what is the difference now in taking an antidepressant rather than a mild codiene again, What would you recommend
