I Was At The Dentist Tues And She Swabbed My

I was at the dentist Tues and she swabbed my mouth to inject novicane, I immediately had chect pains and didn't procede. I think I had some type of reaction. Within 10 minutes I felt better and went home. Could it have been an alergic reaction to the med swabbed or interaction with a med I take on a regular basis ? I am to go back to the dentist next week and don't want to repeat the same thing
