I Was At Work About A Week And A Half

I was at work about a week and a half ago when suddenly my left ankle began to hurt and gave me a good amount of pain. I sat down and lifted up my jeans to find a medium size purple and blue bruise on the side of my ankle. It came out of nowhere. I didn't hit anything (atleast I don't remember hitting anything) and all I know is that suddenly it just appeared and hurt like hell. There is a lump under the bruise and you can tell it raises above the skin. I put ice on it that night in hopes that the swelling or lump would go down but it hasn't and it's been about a week and a half now. The bruise is exactly the same and the lump is too. It hurts to touch it and hurts to put a lot of pressure on my foot when I walk but the pain isn't too noticeable when I'm doing my daily activities. I'm not sure what it is or if it's even a big deal. Thanks for reading. Hope to hear soon.
