I Was Awakened During The Night With A Mild Throbbing

I was awakened during the night with a mild throbbing pain on my left side next to my stomach. I got up and took some peptones bismol and it eventually stopped hurting. It has not bothered me today. The only other symptom I have had today is that my mouth seems unusually dry. Should I be concerned since I have not experienced any pain today?
