I was born in 1946. My father had a positive blood type and my Mother had O Negative. I have O negative. There were no complications with her pregnancy nor my birth, and no problems with me. How could I be born with O negative?
Two years later, she gave birth to twins, a month premature - but except for their weight (one weighed 3 pounds and the other 3 1/4 pounds) and the "soft spot" on their heads not being fully closed, there were no problems.
However, a year or so later, she was pregnant again, this time she was unable to carry the baby to term, and both her and the baby's lives were endangered. So the doctor terminated her pregnancy. He said she should never get pregnant again - and something about the RH Factor, and that he she should allow him to give her a hysterectomy, which she did.
Was the RH negative Factor the cause of all this?
