I Was Diagnosed Via An EMG And Nerve Conduction Study,

I was diagnosed via an EMG and nerve conduction study, with ulnar neuropathy and compression of the posterior interosseous nerve, both on the left arm. My doctor stated to me, provided my symptoms do not improve within the next 5-6 months, surgery to release the compression of the posterior interosseous nerve. My main complaint is a burning sensation from my elbow, up my bicep and down to the outside of my hand (palm) and the pinky and ring fingers. Will this procedure releive the burning sensation I am describing? I am concerned about the unlar nerve as well.

My doctor stated because I experience more tenderness on the "top" of my arm verses the bottom (funny bone) when he applies pressure that he should decompress that nerve (posterior interosessos). I am scheduling a second opinion as well. Thank you for your time
