I Was Diagnosed With Graves Disease In June Of 2015

I was diagnosed with Graves Disease in June of 2015 and have been taking methimazole now for over 14 months. My eyes began to bulge in January of 2016. I am trying to be patient with this horrid disease and wait it out for 18 to 24 months which I was told is the usual time frame it takes for this condition to resolve. Will Actalin help, hinder, or have any effect on my graves disease if I continue to take methamizole?
Cerainly do not want to take anything that will make my condition worse, but if it will help, I'm in.
