I Was Diagnosed With HPV Virus About 1.5 Years Ago.

I was diagnosed with HPV virus about 1.5 years ago. Thought I had a yeast infection but all tests were negative. Finally my doctor got a positive result on a test for HPV. there was no treatment but it just eventually went away. I had all the cervical cancer tests and they were negative also. Now I am having the same irritation type feeling and I believe the virus has come back. Is this going to continue for the rest of my life? Do I need to be tested again? I am 61 and was not sexually active for many years until I met my husband 3 years ago. Perhaps I got it from him but he has never known that he has it. Does stress cause it to reappear? Anything I can do to hasten the return to dormancy? I have no other symptoms other than irritation and cloudy urine.
