I Was Diagnosed With Hypothyroidism 5 Days Ago And Started

I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism 5 days ago and started taking levothyroxin 4 days ago. I was only tested for TSH relating to the thyroid but had a myriad of other things tested as well. My TSH level was over 100 but I did not receive the exact value. My dr. wants me back in 8 weeks to retest. First, I'm wondering how long should it take for me to start feeling better? Second, I'm wondering why she may not have had me do the more specific thyroid tests? Third, my total CK was 854 (very high!) and I'm curious if this could be a cause of my mostly inactive thyroid. I belong to an HMO and they always seem to be very uninformative... Is there anything I should insist on being tested for NOW or should I wait until the 8 week appointment? Thanks
