I Was Diagnosed With Ramsay Hunt Syndrome About 8 Years

I was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome about 8 years ago. For the past three years I have been having trouble with an area under my left ear that also runs under my left jaw. Is this related to the earlier problem or most likely just due to a weakness on that side of my head?
