I Was Diagnosed With Shingles On Sunday, Jan 22, 2017,

I was diagnosed with shingles on Sunday, Jan 22, 2017, but was not able to obtain and use the antiviral Valacyclovir or prednisone I was prescribed until getting back from Canada the night of Tuesday the 24th. What started out as three small bumps had become a 6" band around my chest. Just today, for the first time it shows some signs of improvemeny: less angry looking. Only one dose left of prednisone in the morning. Had 10 pills and was told to take 2 per day with no refills. Do I need to continue longer to make sure it goes away?
