I Was Diagnosed With Strep A After A Rapid Strep

I was diagnosed with strep A after a rapid strep test. An influenza test was negative. The CNP at the clinic prescribed Amoxicillin 1000 mg capsule oral q day. I cannot find that dosage anywhere and have never heard of it being prescribed like that before. I am an LPN....just know enough to ask questions. Thank you.
