I Was Discharged From The Hospital And Given Toprol-xl 100mg

I was discharged from the hospital and given Toprol-xl 100mg daily and Norvasc 10mg daily. Is this proper? Not according to Dr. Merritt. I was given this medication when I left the hospital 12/11/2010. From then til June of 2012, I HAD A STROKE RE:HYPERTENSION. Why? One and a half years taking this medication, I had a stroke. I would like your opinion. My doctor's Haven't answered me yet. Everybody Didn't expect me to make it through the night. I did. Besides this, what else should I NOT taken? I appreciate it.
