I Was Doing A Ear Candle A Couple Years Ago.

I was doing a ear candle a couple years ago. Hot wax went into the ear and since my hearing isnt right in that ear. Sounds are maagnafied if high pitch sounding or muffles sounding. The dr looked inside and said the ear drum was dark in color but left it at that. What could this be?
