I Was Down In Atlanta This Week, Stayed In A

I was down in Atlanta this week, stayed in a hotel overnight, and while there kept waking up with a seriously itchy groin. I'm home now, and I'm itching really intensely, in the palms of my hands, the base of my thumb, and all around the pelvic area: groin, genitals, etc. I do not see any sign of lice or crabs, nor any redness or rash or anything. It's just itchy. cortisone and ice packs help but I'm looking for advice on what else to try.

My first fear was crabs or scabies, but like I said I do not see any redness or bumps or nits or anything else. I'm thinking maybe an allergic reaction to something, but then wouldn't the whole body be involved?
