I Was Eating A Salad And I Think I Inhaled

I was eating a salad and I think I inhaled a piece of shredded carrot or lettuce. I can breathe fine and I have tried to cough it out but no luck. I can feel it in the back of my throat and there is a metallic taste in the back of my throat. I don't want to go to the ED but I don't want pneumonia.
