I Was Eating Chips And Noticed A Pain Under My

I was eating chips and noticed a pain under my tongue. I looked and it's a little string looking thing maybe a little less than a centimeter long. It hurts a little but not a lot. It's on the right side near the bottom of the underside of my tongue. I was wondering what this could be??
